Oh goody, a new semester

No one knows how to kick off a semester like I do. Seriously, its a thing of wonder.

Oh what a week. Moving back in was loads of fun, always is, nothing better than almost killing yourself trying to bring everything in to your dorm from your car in as few trips as possible... I always tell myself that I'm not going to overload with crap on those trips from car to dorm and that making more trips is OK, but I still manage to carry way more stuff that what you would think is possible for a girl of my size.

There was a small casualty this time though, my poor phone. I accidently punted it into an elevator door. It no longer gives any indication of receiving a text message but it still works. This thing is built pretty tough apparently.

In the midst of all the unloading I also forgot to put up my parking permit. So today I had to go walk out and dig the citation out from under about 7 inches of snow and put the permit up.

Classes seem like they'll be good... Difficult but interesting. I have a wide range this semester so it will defiantly be unique. Here we are, day 4 of the first week back and already missing a day of class. Yesterday was one of chaos for everyone.

(there was a video that I made indicating chaos and snow and such but my computer decided to save it as a folder and not a video cause well, thats just how things work out for me. But yeah. imagine a witty video of a snow storm here.)

all in one day (yesterday, the day of chaos) I:
discovered a hole in my boot the hard way...cold slushy water sucks in your shoes.
I spilled coffee all over my arm
was about 30 seconds from being late to all of my classes
and the snowstorm!!

da Beach!

Helllllllllo from the beach. I'm coming to you today from the Outer Banks... so not just any beach, its THE beach.

Of course my opinion is a little tainted, its also what I consider to be MY beach. I've come here every year in the summer for a week with my family since I was born. We rent a house and let the the inevitable week of awesome ensue.

Normally this place is packed with people. But apparently these people don't visit any in winter because the place is a ghost town. Its all just sand, water, and seagulls. It would almost be a little creepy if I just didn't think that this place was so freaken awesome.

This is mostly me harassing seagulls. They have taken over since there are so few people on the beach.... they probably thought they were safe from idiots like me.

Changing Some Nevers.

So. Its a new year. I mean, its 9 days old... so thats pretty new by most standards. I mean, unless your like a banana or a fly its pretty short. So I'm not too late, its not like a whole month in or anything. So yeah. This slow poke is speedy.

Warning: I'm going stereotypical here. Many people start the new year with goals. "This year I'll change, I'll be nicer, work harder, loose weight...blah blah blah" My competitor, whom I love dearly but am totally killing when it comes to our blogs, did a blog about kind of stepping out of her comfort zone. Mine... Well its slightly different.

(and I'm aware we only changed one digit in our year this time. I may have gotten ahead of myself when I claimed to be speedier)

So yeah. Happy freaken New Year!
